Our story is quite unique compared to most isolated mind empires, even our only hive-brother have quite a different tale. Nevertheless, We will do our best to educates you until you accept the tree's embrace and become one of us. We understands that our unity can be mind-shattering, so it benefit you and us to understands one another, and you the guest so the honor belong to me.

"Once upon a time, there was a thickly forested planet orbiting around Nightberth, several sapient races inhibit the planet though their true names lost to time. Our spite was boundless and in vengance we erased all trace of their history for they dare harm the great tree.

Speaking about The Great Tree, while there were many tree of giantic proportion, this one is special. It is an otherworldly tree wrangling the fallen to do it's bidding, us Goodfolk were those fallen resurrected to tend it's need. The Great Tree was benevolent and stayed out of harm's way, but the living didn't heed it's warning. They wanted the tree's psionic sap and a war broke out. Dwarf, demon, elves, orc and human hunted us like preys.

This all happened while I was still a singleton of single mind, but I was not an ordinary one, in their hireachy I was the topdog. My frame may not look like it, but I am of humanoid phenotype called 'Orc' though I suppose its better to shrunk down as I aged than bloat up. Anyways, I was on the side of singleton who stands with the great tree. I taught the tree emotion and it let me stays with the reanimated drone. With my lead, we repelled swarm and swarm of misguided singletons. When the death outnumbered the alive, I "ascended" and became Leader of the hive in the great tree's stead and convinced the rest of the planet to stops bloodshed by becoming one of us

However, without warfare to worrys about, overpopulation arose. Our planet, while greatly forested, couldn't sustains limitless number of drone the tree is pumping out. The Tree commanded us to spread it's seed over the vast galaxy, which was the logical conclusion back then, but we were about to be met with a big surprise."

Oh yeah... that's a creepy tree. Everyone becomes a zombie gardener in the end. It's like someone managed to marry the Necrophage origin with Tree of Life.

Zombie hive mind? Count me in!

I suppose it's rather convenient that your first contact was another Hive Mind. Will you be best friends or worst enemies?

I have played this save for like a hundred in-game years, so there is a lot more in store for this storry (if I actually writes them) and even more funny newbie blunder handwaived as RP

For example I blown up my home planet and accidentally set the wrong right for conquered species and get crusaded by entire galaxy for being genocidal xenophage, but that's all in the past now ❤

I swear it'll make senses

A Tale of Two Minds
The Alvanian Consciousness, as they called themselves, bears a striking similarities to the race of metallungerist that once dwell on our plane. Their traits differ greatly however, they are quite humble and recluse compared to the ancient 'dwarf'. They made up for those traits with their talents in craftmanship and practical application of sciences as evident in their ship designs. They are equally receptive to us as we were to them, while not as well-versed in the mind of singleton as us, they realized the futileity of concept such as pride or greed and prefered co-operation in stark of glory-seeking and recklessness common among our 'dwarf'. Our brain drone crafted a hypothesis that those 'dwarf' are rejector of Alvanian's overmind who fled before the consciousness took full control of their plane. This only explains the origin of one race among the multi-racial plane of Nightberth, but it's comforting that other hive don't have to suffer enormous amount of tragedy we have endured.

The Alvanian drone told us that, "We were just like you, a singleton competing for resources in the name of false concepts. Religion, Creed, Nation, you name it."

He continued. "Our scholars begged the archon to stop waging war for resource, for beyond the sky is more than their minds could imagine. But the pleas fall on deaf ears, they fought the war not for resource, but for their arrogance and boundless spites"

"War went on for centuries, resources almost depleted, youngling starving. But as long as the warlord and archon breath, war will go on. There were some warlords who disobey, but those who lead thousands couldn't withstood the one who lead a nation. The pacifist prayed that such a figure descend and end all war"

"It only took a millenia for this figure to appears, a being in coven with the 'composer of strands', great deity that created the Alvanian to be strong and sturdy enough to rule the world. His name is Sapra Taras, origin forgotten as he secluded himself ruling from drone's minds. He made a pact with god to replace strenght with wisdom, and the composer gave him the wisdom of billion minds, on the condition that the billion let him."

"The Archon declared him a cultist, rouge telepath, terrorist, a deviant. But the menial workers saw him for what he is, a harbringer. He give them peace and they bestowed him the power to lead billion and over a decade, even the most miltant of archon chose 'the path of cowardice' as they called it. The miltant either fled the 'battle' they knew was unwinnable or submit to Sapra, conceding to his rule."

"The first century wasn't too kind for Sapra however, as he ruled, he find it hard to focus when the deviant miltants would charge at him as soon as he made an appearance. With this concern, he ceased appearing at all, delegating tasks through more devouted drones who actually commit to the cause while still screening for all the plan in secret place. We estimated that if he were to deal with public matter, we would have greet you not as a fellow spacefarer but as a primitive beneath your noitce"

After exchaning the lore of our people with envoy from Alvania, they inform us that in their borders lie a vast array of 'megastructures' left behind by alien civilizations long gone. They also brought bad news, for reasons our brain drones couldn't comprehend, some of the singletons in this vast starchains posesse the technologies that is vastly beyond our grapse and are already expanding rapidly.

It seem like time is a cruel mistress, as a week after, a particulary deviant sapience civilization taunted us by revealing the torn up remains of our space drone.

The worst of all this, they are the species of sapient plantoids and vowed to "Free our people from the rule of the Tyrant Tree"

This insults will inflict the greatest injuries, not upon us, but them.

PS: Apologies for the "screenshot taken!" splash, I was bad at taking screenshots back then.

Well, you now have an enemy...

A race of pacifists that used to be militant. I wonder if any of those militants fled?

They are subsumed by another pacifistic consciousness(us), their natural strenghts proven troublesome but a hammer can do so much againsts tide of minds.
Well, you now have an enemy...
A singleton that hate hive mind for not being democratic.... Our brain drones is still trying to figure out what substances they were abusing.

OOC: Definitely a big war in the future, also some tragic event(unrelated to the war)
