I unknowingly had it in my shopping cart, So i searched EU 3 then bought it, So is there nothing I can do.

I assume you mean you bought it twice from Gamersgate.
If so you need to contact GG support.

you are not alone doing that, got a hard copy of eu3, an gamersgate copy and a complete pack. That and I accidently bought 2 of all the old games (F.eks crown of the north) and I got some more copys then needed of Vae Victis.

I like to think that the money is going to a good cause

EDIT: and I got a hard copy of eu2 and an GG copy :D

My only question to that is: How?

My only question to that is: How?

picked up eu3 hard copy in the store a long time ago, later I bought the complete version, then I bought an eu collection edition on GG that included all of the games. That was after I had bought war of the north and the other old games for blue coins.

the Rome example is that I bought Rome in Poland when I was there on vacation, then I bought Vae Victis over GG, but it would not work properly so I bought the gold edition of the game too.

And what would be the problem? Once you own something, you can do whatever you want with it. How do you think the market works?

is`t games licensed out to the people that buy it? And I don`t know if I am allowed to sell a license to another consumer.

Besides I need my complete edition, but my eu3 GG edition on the other hand is put to no practical use (beside making my signature bar slightly bigger)

How do you think game shops get games? They buy them in stocks and sell them to clients.

If you read the EULA for most digital distribution centers, it specifically says you don't own it, and you can thus not resell it. You buy the license, but not the game.

I bought 2 copies once, and after emailing them they took it away and refunded.
