When playing as Prussia, I united Germany and saved... then played a few days and retired.

Next morning I go to load them up and the file is there, but after clicking on it the "start" option remains unhighlited!

Ok, I think to myself... maybe I messed up because I had it on extremely fast... So I load the "autosave" (when I was still Prussia) and play until the unift event comes again... so I pick it going at "normal" speed and play about six months saving occasionally... but guess what? None of those save files will start because the "start" button remains unhighlighted on all of them.

AAARGH! I think maybe its because early on I cheated for some soldiers and manpower.... so I start completly over. Same exact thing happens... I unift Germany, the game plays fine... but when I have to load any of the saves after unification, they wont allow me to pick the "start" button.

Barbatomagus, sorry, to bring it up again, but I've asked you before to shorten your signature. Ten lines maximum in 1152x864. Check the rules.

Otherwise, keep those savegames around, don't delete them, so someone from Paradox or Derek may check it.

Klick on the german flag.

Funny thing is that once you have switched into germany you can load up the game as any nation as the default nation is no longer fixed.

I tried clicking the flag... I get nothing. I just did a clean reinstall and I saved those bad files too. Im going to try another game as Prussia and see whats going on.

Sorry Sytass, I did not notice your complaint... You sexy thang.
