I downloaded 1.06; how do I get it to function?

cONFUSED!! i JUST downloaded 1.06 from Paradox site. It is sitting in my HoI folder. What should i DO NEXT? I am not too hot with computers.

Run it like any other program, it will then go through and update your HOI files.

Probably the most reliable method:
1) Copy the v1.06 patch file to a safe place where you can find it.
2) Uninstall your current install of HoI. (and remove all traces of it from your system - i.e. delete any files it leaves behind)
3) Install HoI fresh from your CD
4) Execute the patch and it should automatically update you to v1.06 nice and cleanly.
5) Then I recommend you make a copy of the entire HoI directory so you can install mods and try them out for a superior gaming experience.
