I really hate it, it annoys me to no end. I read the flamming posts about it typed in all caps, I read the responses from your team. I must say that this is the most unfun form of diplomacy I have ever experienced in any game. If vanilla CK2 had such an inconvenient and unfun diplomacy setup, I would have trashed it with a bad review and uninstalled it forever. I get it; you think its cheating to spam diplomatic actions, and want to be the policeman in my computer to stop me. Please, it isn't necessary. I don't need to be regulated on how much Diplomacy I can do with annoyance-based systems.

I suppose my own submod for this is going to be all about removing the stupid thing. I really hate it, I can't even play it really. I can't get much farther than 1-2 years before the diplomacy "personal interaction" system ruins my immersion, ends the fun and causes me to not want to deal with any of the characters in the game at all. I get it; this is your choice, you decided to be the policeman. But, I want a system where I can do all the diplomacy I want without stupid wait timers holding me down. I don't play multiplayer, I don't need multiplayer restrictions, and I don't enjoy the new system. I respect your choice, but I cannot continue living with it, it has to go.

I will be done with this mod then until I can get a version working that has this feature removed.
I will not upload this version because that isn't my right to do.

Thanks for a great Mod! I am not a GOT fan (I would never bother myself to read 5,000 pages of that), but I am a fan of this mod. The amazing thing about GOT is that some things get bigger than their original idea, that people with no intention of sifting through the books can get in and have some fun.

Out of curiosity, what diplomacy are you trying to do all at once?
Ransoming their relatives, while ending a war, while sending gold, while casting magic, while trying to betroth your children to them, while taking the opportunity to throw them an insult? What combination of things are you doing that a few seconds of waiting ruins?

And when you spam the diplomacy to the point that the game crashes, will you expect the developers to fix that for you too?

Sounds like you have the solution.

By all means feel free to upload it as a submod once you are done.

You're welcome.

Auphilla -

1. My problem is with having cooldowns and wait timers. Cooldowns and wait timers annoy me, this is why I don't play MMOs. No thanks. I get that you are trying to police others, and that you probably have good motives. I totally don't need policed, thank you.

2. The second part of your post is just a veiled insult you are using to try to paint pictures with wiggle words. Your first wiggle words come when you ask how many I need to do, then your second wiggle words to complete it, is asking if I will just ask the dev team to fix the crashes. What you are trying to do is make it look like I am some kid; which is why you use the language and questions you do. This is not part of a real conversation, this is just you bullying. You might not think of yourself as bullying, but you are. And you need to stop.

You and I have different ideas of fun, it seems.

D Toccs - My issue with uploading it once done is that GOT isn't really "my mod" so it doesn't feel right. I did see a few threads, namely this one:
http://citadel.prophpbb.com/topic904.html

Which inspired me to post here. I don't mind losing all the "wonderful potential" of this system I don't like or want.

The new triggered_decisions is how I plan to rework it. triggered_decisions seems pretty neat and I haven't experiemented too much with them yet, but they seem to have "all the same potential" as the Personal Interaction menu.

Final Note:

You guys are awesome, your mod is awesome.

I simply hate one feature so much that it wrecks my experience in the game and I cannot enjoy myself. I am simply looking to remove the feature I don't like. I am not trying to change your minds, and you are not going to change mine. I am not looking for the fight that most people start when they post this topic. I am simply looking to express my feelings, and state my intentions. I look forward to the next update, your team has done some great work. Hopefully soon, I can enjoy it again.

In the next version the personal interaction button has been changed have all the options made into targetted_decisions so there will be no wait time. We did this prettymuch immediately in the dev build after 2.2.1.1 was released so fi you can handle waiting for an update then just be patient if not don't play the mod.
For the rest of your answers I defer to what Toccs said.

My apologies for being a bit less-than-friendly. I assumed you were being a bit less-than-friendly with some of your comments as well.
Especially the one about you not uploading a fix to your problem, assuming other people agreed with your problem and would also have liked such a fix as a sub-mod. I thought you were being stingy about that.
Turns out not to be the case. :p
I was genuinely curious as to what multiple diplomatic/personal interactions you ever planned to do at once though.
Also I'm not part of the dev team, so I'm not policing anyone, assuming that was directed towards me and not said in general.

I always thought of it as "Maester! Send a raven...!"
That makes a lot of sense. I'd actually like to see that in-game.

I suppose I can see the wait time being a nuisance especially when trying to use codes.

Oh nice, looks like you got it ahead then! I will wait for your next version, which I have been looking forward to for other reasons anyway.

I am reluctant to upload any "fixer" mod I make. I suppose I see why you see that as stingy of me. I suppose when I started looking at the code and realized the scope of this mod, as well as all the details... I felt that there was very little I could add to it. Fixing up some things for personal preference... If I were going to upload something, I would rather find a way to contribute something to this mod than upload a "personal preference fix."

I am sorry if I made anyone think that I am in any way insulting anything. That is why all of my posts have offered endless praise. I realized how much work went into this when I opened up the files. I was afraid to criticize anything (especially a personal preference issue) because if I had made something so spectacular, I would be upset if some idiot came in with a personal preference issue like that. I look forward to the next version. I will consider uploading my AGOT mods when they are worthy of being uploaded.

For right now, I am just adding things in that either look like they would be fun - or testing ideas that I don't know if works or not. I was a bit envious when I saw the files and realized the depth of this mod.

I like the Personal Interaction thing, but I would like to know what the cooldown is for Visit Chambers.

I would like the cooldown to go away, I liked being able to spam sex my vassal's wives and prisoners. I gotta say though, the visit chambers is the best thing in any mod I've played. There's nothing quite as enjoyable as raping your vassals for rising up against you.

The Personal Interactions button has a decent rationale, but in my (limited) time with the GoT mod, I've found it...clunky. Would it be possible to instead add one of those auto-reject modifiers if you're doing an action again too soon?

Well, that's a horrifying thing to read.

I thought the personal interaction button was perfect, personally. Most diplomatic options in the game take time, as they well should, considering that medieval people didn't have internet. It also means you can have interesting and tense situations like waiting for the enemy to respond to your peace offer when you're in a tenuous situation or the like. Frankly, I'm somewhat stumped about what the problem is.

Also, yeah, codyo, you've got problems mate.

What is worse, codyo's alarming post, or your name?

An issue I have with it, is that it removes the whole "bribe to get to join plot" prompt in the invite-to-plots screen.

From what I read, it looks like there will be changes with how personal interaction will be done with the next patch associated with the Way of Life DLC. Reading some of the previews of it, seems like there could be opportunities related to this mod.

I agree, interesting times ahead.

Some personal interactions might be obsolete with Ways of Life. (I'm looking at you Visit Chamber).

Or could be moved to triggered decisions?

I am seeing opportunities for more depth. I can't enjoy the new Betas, because of not having GOT. GOT is more stable than the new betas, even with my random crashes.
