You will probably end up as wacko as I am trying to fix my problem and i dont expect a mgic solution but what the heck maybe someone had been trough this as well.

I been playing HOI2 for several years in mplayer so I know the basic routine for setting routers and so on. I also used hamachi before. Anyhow its been a week that I try to connect with someone trough IP since Valky is down. I first ensured both routers (both players) where demilitarized and made sure I was using proper IP from the router assigned adresses. I then made sure both PC had (windows firewall) turned off. Finally both PC's dont have anti-virus soft that could make firewall. We still cannot cannot when either PC host/join.???

Could it be a previous hamachi installation conflicting something?? Could it be some internet provider blocking IP data sharing?? Could it be that some MOD of HOI2 has a functionality problem with IP connect?? (I use UMEI)
Is it something simple i didnt know about...

Anyhow no gaming for now

XP or Vista?
If its XP make sure the exceptions for the hoi.exe ar ON!!!!

-Have you tried reinstalling HOI> (long shot i know)...

-What type of Router are you using?

-Have you tried resetting the router to factory defaults and reinstigating the DMZ?

-Has your router done any firmware updates?

-You say the AV is off so as not to cause a firewall......... Programs like nortans antivirus will still be active in the background even when off, and Internet security will also prohibit activity through a firewall (EVEN IF ITS TURNED OFF!)

IF you have an AV on the PC uninstall it (obviously not permanantly but just to check your problem).

Hope that helps or you can provide more info.

Yea I will check the I Explorer settings of both PC's that could be,

regarding AV, In fact I dont have any but will check for my friends PC.

For routers they are Berkins and D-Link, but make sense to reset them and redo the DMZ, will try that as well tonight.

If nothing works will go for the longshot re-installing ...

Thanks.
