I have to say "goodbye" - at least for quite awhile

Hi friends,

I just received a letter to the effect that I have been granted a 3 years scientific fellowship. :)

The one and only downside of this is, that I have to take *quite* a long "time out" from the forum and the IGC. :(

I have to move, get accustomed to my future "working habitat" and get zillions of things done in the process. So I will not be able to seriously contribute anything until I will be "settled" again. I expect this to take a few months at least so I asked Paradox to remove my moderator-status and/or appoint new moderators as they see fit. I also have already informed Doomie about these brandnew changes in my life and am quite sure he will keep the IGC alive even without me. I want to thank all of You, who helped with the IGC during the last exciting months. It was a pleasure to work with You, gentlemen. :)

I sincerly hope You do not feel let down by me now. As soon as I got all things back on track again, I will return to see how things stand and whether and how I may still be of value.

Congraduations! Real life is alot more important then any game. As it is the IGC is an excellent contribution to the EU community. Even a newbie like me can see that. :)

Don't forget that the most important thing to a Ph.D is a snappy title and a naked lady on the cover...

I think that we will especially miss your diplomatic skills - the IGC is a tightrope with lots of people (including myself) pushing and pulling from different directions.

Just wants to be a part of the choir, Congrats and thanks for your efforts from an EU newbie, but experienced researcher.
A good ph. d. thesis should not only have a snappy title and a naked lady on the cover, it also needs some smart quotes in the beginning of each section. You can find all you need in this forum !

Congratulations on the changes in your life.

What i have respected most about you is your ability to understand moderation, to understand that 'grey areas' do exist in history, and to understand the balance between historicity & gameplay.
