Hiya peeps, need some help here, I can't join multiplayer games since 1.2 and what's worse, my HOI2 freezes (sometimes) in Valkyrenet. What is up with this and how do I patch to VQHQ ?

did you change files or install a mod?

btw everybody's hoi freezes in vnet now and again ( at least mine ) :(

no mods installed, anyone else know what's up?

Are you sure that neither you nor your friend did anything to change a game file? Eg. changed the attrition modifier? Might want to check with your friend to make sure.

A first blush solution is for both of you to reinstall and patch your games.

This is especially true if you have made an ammendment to fix the manpower bug that has been reported and fixed with the tiny modifier as mentioned by Barkdreg in the following post......

.....each game version will change depending upon what little code mods that you have put into the game files.
I think that is part of the checksum procedure that lets players know when game files have been amended/changed, in an effort to prevent cheating.....i.e. if you both have the same alpha game version then you are both on an 'even playing field'!!
