I keep getting an error message when I try to install the beta patch

I got CK and DV. I followed directions on the forum telling me I want this patch:

then I download it with winrar.

I've looked all over the files, there is nothing with an obvious name like "install". The application seems to be what I'm supposed to use, but I can't get it to work.


Whether I save it to my desktop or open it straight from the link, it never lets me run the application. It always says "excel file not found" and asks if I want to continue but neither "retry" or "ignore" works.

You need to extract it on top of your Deus Vult install, replacing the existing crusaders.exe and other files.

I did that and it told me my access was denied

Extract to your desktop, then copy the files across.

Games installed in C:\Program Files tend to not work well in Windows Vista and Windows 7.
