Just wanted to tell the devs how much I appreciate the amount of love they've put into this jewel of a game. When I first saw my dwarves running around doing my little chores I was magically transported into those timeless days of childhood. Friedrich Nietzsche once said "In every real man a child is hidden that wants to play". I'll use his quote as an excuse for a ruined social life these following weeks :). Thank you very much!

This seems like a good place to add my thanks for the "Dungeon Keeper"-esque experience, with just a touch of the Theme X games that I lost so much sleep over. :) I definitely look forward to the upcoming DLCs, too, and all the other surprises you probably have planned for us. Thanks for making this game!

The game is great fun indeed - took me back to my countless hours on Dungeon Keeper. Bullfrog games were my childhood and there's never been a better game than dungeon keeper or DK 2 to me, aGoD is the closest it's ever gotten to being one. Thanks, Zeal, for making me feel 10 years old again :p.

There are a few things I would like to see added to aGoD, one is a level editor, so we can seed and create our own maps to mine out ourselves.

The second works in tandem with my first idea, and that's workshop integration. Openly sharing out maps and challenge scenarios between each other via Steam would undoubtedly add to this games already staggering re playability.

Yes yes yes. . . . . but then I think this about any game. but with aGoD a 1,000 times yes!
:D

Only played through the tuturial and first level, unable to do much with so much Uni work at the moment. But from what little I've seen it seems like its a good game and hopefully I'll be able to continue tonight when this work gets done.

I should start by saying that it's usually VERY hard to convince me to buy any Steam-only game. I consider it to be an unfair practice and boycotting most of the products released that way, is my form of a silent protest. However, seeing many positive comments about this game (in this topic, but not only), not many negative ones, and finally the low price: I did get it. Slight moral hangover now, but I guess I can have some dwarven ale to deal with the sadness ;).

I'm right there with you. If it wasn't this game and if it wasn't put out by Zeal - I would have passed it by simply because of the Steam thing. . . . . but it's that good to put aside the Steam issue this one time.
:)

First thank you all for the good words. Just wanted to point out we are taking note of all feedback and thinking about how to make as much of it into the game. Level editor is a hard one but we are thinking about it.

When it comes to steam... sadly now days we make 98% of rew share from steam and it makes it easy to keep the game updated for all users! When you are a small studio it is not easy to have multi platforms and this helps us with lots of other things. Hopefully you will enjoy the game even if it is on steam : ).

Love this game - its too easy now but I know you will patch it and give us more options at some point so im taking time with learning how to play right now. I never was big fan of building sandboxes - in terraria/minecraft i used to just make base for myself that was not so very creative but was optimized for use. Chests placements, entrances, beds, everything was to make most efficient building. Agod is first game in wchich im having fun with creating. I accidentally opened event room, spiders killed my 6 dwarves - had a good laugh at this. After that I moved all of gold piles to my throne room and felt like a boss :) My dwarves got very happy too - from 1 to 10k happiness in few minutes.

Im also sold to this game because you are so active on the forums. Thats incredibly important to me as I simply am sure you care about us and try to build fanbase - overall we will buy your dlcs or expansions or future games. Im quite sure I will get everything and already cant wait for new content :)

This!
It's nice to have such active devs who not only talk to us but also work hard to release a patch with a fan requested feature 3 days after release! That's really rare in these days! :)
