I need help!, I saved my game but when i returned it was gone.

I don't understand I manually saved my in game progress before i closed the game however when i returned there was no save of that city . I'm not sure if this was my fault or it's a bug either way i lost my city's progress. Is there anyway to recover the lost data?.

i saved it on local, i just checked the local save files through window explorer and it still shows the city has been saved. I turned my computer off before it could save it to the cloud since it had a message saying steam was still running when my computer was shutting down. How do i access it in the game?

Almost certainly, you can't. From what you say the save file was only partially written when the computer shut down, so it so corrupted the game cannot recognise it as a valid save file.

I hope you had autosaving turned on so you can load a recent one!
