I need help urgently

On Supreme Ruler Cold War I cannot save my game. I'm using a Windows 8 desktop. Everytime I push save game a small little inch bar shows up, but nothing happens. ColdWar.sav doesn't even exist, or atleast I can't find it.

Can someone help me out?

My game is registered.

My suggestion would be to set your autosave to every 1 day, run some time and try reloading one of those files. That should help determine if saving/loading is working.
