hey guys, i need some help on diplomacy, i am playing poland-lithuania in the grand campaign, and i like them, they are very strong, but i am in a tough situation politically, i only had moldovia as an ally, how do you ask them to become involved when you attack someone ? I also found out i have to be carefull on religion, because with over 20 provinces and 4 different religions that's quite a hassle, i had rebellions all over the place. If someone could give me some advice how to play them i'll be very gratefull.

About the rebellions- try to lessen the number of religions, use force conversion.

Simple: you need a population below 5000 to send in colonist and after that province automatically changes to your state religion.

If these provinces are over 5000 pop, you need to do this: just put religious tolerance to one religion to 0 (muslims for example). They will start rebelling like crazy. Let them siege the province, it lowers population. Wait until they are successful. Then assault. It lowers population even more. When you reach near 5000, just let them siege, assault doesn't get pop below 5000. If pop is below 5000, crush the rebels and send in the colonist.

One problem though: Poles don't have that much colonists. Still, you could get some through random events. And if the province is concidered your national province, you can always hope for them to see the true light and change their religion to yours (random event).

Other hints to keep rebellions down: try to keep stability up and try to have short wars (war exhaustion can really kill you).

Right at the beginning, the best bet for Poland diplomatically is to form a coalition of small powers. Generally speaking, Hanover, Bavaria, Moldovia and Saxony are willing to join a Polish based alliance. Only Moldovia is useful on wars on the Eastern front since the others lack a common border, but if Brandenburg or Austria want to start something, the small allies will take much of the heat for you.
In terms of religious revolts, the best policy is to change your religion settings so that tolerance for Muslims is set at zero. This will me Keremetjung will revolt frequently, but you won't have to worry about the rest of your provinces. If by chance you get settlers through random events, the constant revolts will keep the population of that province low enough to forcibly convert.
One last thing about playing Poland - converting to Protestantism is a very, very good idea. It gets you a steady supply of colonists to convert Muslim territories, increases the amount of money you generate and will boost your diplomacy with the German states, allowing you to diploannex them eventually.
