I am deeply humbled by this game, its creators, and the people who post here. Considering myself a historian (with the pieces of paper to prove it), I have seldom seen so much knowlledge displayed on the Net. Congrats, people, on an amazing game and a perfect framework for an even better community
Now for the tech problem...
I'm running a Toshiba Celeron 700 Mhz laptop with 64 MB RAM and 'ample' (8 MB?) video. Speed is not normally a problem.
However, on EU the game goes so slowly (as in, pauses every time an action is attempted or map view is shifted), that the game play becomes incredibly tedious. Each action can result in 2-3 second pause (or even longer) while it re-calibrates. Indeed, after downloading IGC and update the entire thing just got even slower, verging on the glacial, actually.\
CAN SOMETHING BE DONE? I am desperate to really get to grips with the game but, although my interst might be historical, my attention does not run in eons.
Thanks!
