And they don't want to look bad when the modding platform goes up and within 2 days you've got the entire industry chain system functional, brand new models for the pedestrians, a tool to import custom pedestrians from the sims or something, a bunch of quality of life improvements from CS1 reimplemented into CS2, functional quays, prop line tool, all your wildest dreams, etc, on top of a ton of bug fixes a la your typical bethesda game "unofficial patch" mod.

Speculation or conspiracy? A bit of both. Modding not being ready day one really is a travesty. It's more frustrating to me than the GAME not being ready day one.
