I want to recover a lost game... pls help

Hi I was playing Byz and suddenly someone messed up with the cables and the computer turned off while I was playing... now every time I try to load it CTD... so I was wondering if someone could help me...
Is there anything in the save file that I can tweak in order to get it working again?

Depends on what's wrong with it, I guess. If you are asking "is there one thing I can do that guarantees to fix a corrupt save file" the answer is no, that's the nature of corruption.

What if you load the autosave or old_autosave, do they work?
