What would be the best way to proceed? I have added decisions from TC to RIMP but get labels instead of actual country and actions!

See attached screenshot for example.

missed something!

I discovered that by copying over tcm_localisations that the decisions
appeared to be OK, but the game crashes - I think it may be when the
decision triggers, but not sure.

Also my bitmap attachment does no show in my post. Why:confused:

I am running 2.31 patch

Thanks Cheexsta

RIMP and TC2 both work on their own under 2.31, I haven't had
any problems with either one.

I started the launcher, selected a saved game from just RIMP and it
ran fine until I tried the "diplomatically anex vassal" decision and then
the game crashes.

I have:
Sony Vaio Desktop
Intel core duo T8300 @ 2.40 GHz
4 GM RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 8400 MGT video card with 1 GB memory
Windows 7 32-bit

It appears to be working!

I removed tcm_region_setup.txt and also copied the tcm2 portion of event_modifiers.txt and it appears to work okay!

I have played to 501 AUC, have annexed countries up to 5 provinces and
diplomatically annexed Massalia.

The combined mod is running with 2.31 beta.

Dangit, I thought I made a more detailed reply to this. What you have to do is first install RIMP with the 2.2 adaptation files, then install TCM2.0 separately. Copy/paste all of TCM2.0's files to the appropriate RIMP folder, but do not overwrite.

You'll then have to modify the following files in order to make it all work properly (I think I labelled all of the lines/sections that I've changed for TCM, specifically to make it easier to do this):
  1. common\cultures.txt has a partial_ culture in each culture group (so that conquered provinces have to go through a "partially assilimilated" phase). You'll have to copy these lines over or some of your provinces will end up having noculture during the game (though thankfully this doesn't appear to have any real negative effect). I've also made some changes to Roman and Illyrian names (courtesy of The_Guisgard), but these aren't really needed.
  2. common\event_modifiers.txt, as you already noted. All the lines are pretty clearly labelled.
  3. common\ideas.txt has a few little modifications, but they aren't really necessary.
  4. common\static_modifiers.txt also has a number of little changes. Also note that 2.31 has introduced a few extra entries, so the RIMP files for 2.2 won't take advantage of those. I recommend you just use my file for the moment.
  5. events\flavor.txt is very different. Just use the RIMP version.
  6. history\characters\*.* only really need to be added if you want to use the Roman names from TCM. The character file for Pyrrhus just beefs him up a bit to make him more of a challenge to early Rome, so that's optional.
  7. history\provinces\*.* - just use RIMP's files.
  8. history\wars\Pyrrhic_Wars.txt - use RIMP's version.
Now, I'm pretty sure that should be all. I haven't actually tried all this yet (I still want to make a minimod-TCM version for all of the major mods out there, but I'm still waiting on the new RIMP before doing that one), but those are the only real conflicts that I can see.

Good luck! Let me know if anything needs further clarification.

Thanks Cheexsta for the detailed instructions.
I missed the partial_culture parts and had provinces with multiple cultures or noculture.

This combination seem to work very well.

Noticed that tcm_event does not work when all provinces are conquered.
Cede cost per province is vanilla cost!
