I have not bought the game, but so far everyone who says the game is running very slow (that I've seen) has been using an I7 processor.

I wanted to bring that to the attention of the developers, as it might be significant, and, to the attention of those who have a slow running game, for the same reason.

All these users seem to be running laptops, which could mean they're using the integrated GPU by mistake.

Please confirm this is not the issue.

I'm not sure that should be a problem. Modern intel graphics are more than capable of running many modern games. My laptop has a Intel i7-3720QM Ivy Bridge with HD-4000 graphics, and runs the game with decent performance, except for a few glitches. And it runs a lot of other games just fine. It supports OpenGL 3.3, so it is more than capable.

The game will run, but will be a slideshow.

The first time I fired it the game loaded at max. settings with my Intel 4600 iGP.

Even throwing down everything to low and 1366x768 the framerate was choppy.

Did my performance 101 troubleshooting, and lo an behold Nvidia Control Panel autoselected the iGP for the game. Changed it and it became smooth as butter.

If this does not solve your problem:

There is also a chance that the game or some threads of the game are being core parked. This can be bad in a Core i7 if the threads are parked in the HT pseudocores, which do not perform as well.

Use a utility such as Unpark CPU Utility: http://www.coderbag.com/Uploads/Unpark-CPU-App.zip

To unpark your processes.
