Are You guys planning to incorporate to CORE some of ideas from other mods? In particular, brigades that change division type to whole better ones, like in SR, or increased speed of some units, like in TRP, possibility for all countries to gain more from anexing other countries (i mean like moving some industry to core provinces= +IC in core province after gaining provinces (not only annexing), or giving +% to research speed- that would be after annexing country (better yet - possibilities upgrading home research teams after victorious campaigns, increased IC to some level - why does my 300IC Greece has to use their poor research teams? Those on the other hand I think would require series of events for each country, so i guess +% is more reasonable), event- possibility of forming volunteer div's - dependant on policy sliders, or captured equipment events= blueprints [i capture 100 tigers, get my soldiers into their factories and don't even get a slight clue of how to build a heavy tank?!], supplies and resources; annexing some big democratic countries by autocratic countries could lead to policy slider change events - do it or gain some ~1-3 free dissent :) ); and how about removing year limits from discoveries? Sure the jets were historically made year 19xx, but do I really have to suffer that big penalties for chosing ie. not to invent "submachine gun mark 5" but inventing a jet engine few years earlier instead? If not removing, maybe just lower the penalty a bit - the one thats now is ridicoulously high, making the players to play stricte historically in terms of inventions. BTW if anyone played mod 1934, knows that removing year restrictions works fine

Those and more could be easily done by writing events that could apply only to human players (easier to write that kind of event i think, plus computer usually plays historically, no need for WorldConquest events for computer Albania), by - for example - controlling+owning a specified province one would get event; there would be no need to write event to every single country, everyone could benefit. I grow tired of playing Poland, taking over most of Europe and not being awarded with any of those event goodies the Germans easily kept getting.
Plus for non-democratic countries You could write events that make some provinces national (Yes, yes I mean Poland I was playing - Getting cores on Eastern Prussia - which Poland had lost due to a plebiscite in which German were cheating, or Silesia (Breslau, Oppeln), or Stettin and Kustryn, or Lithuania, or further east of Soviet Union). Now some may say "this is ahistorical", but it would add large dose of fun playing "minor" country with perspectives and ambitions :). China would be another great candidate, as in Consolidated China Pack, Italy - rebirth of Roman Empire - cores up to spain and N.Africa, Greece perhaps. This would in my opinion apply to autocratic countries, but maybe some democratic could be in, like UK annexing Ireland and making them cores - again some may say ahistorical, and not possible in reality, but this is a game, and such flavors surely improve the mod, plus if someone doesn't like it - don't play UK, don't change it to parental autocrat, and don't annex Ireland! And I don't understand why do only Germans for example have rights to aqquire Czech tanks - this should be made a common event for everyone that takes Prague, and Skoda industries and researchers (maybe with lower abilities) should also work for ie Soviet Union/USA/Italy/Poland/whoever cares to take them

I would really like to have more from the game by playing minor countries - events are big part of fun, which many will miss unless it's Hitler or Stalin they would like to play as.

isnt this game about playing differently than it happened in real history? without that i could just open my history book and read it.

Close. This mod is about playing divergently from real history, while staying within the bounds of plausibility. A 300 IC Greece and a lack of date restrictions on techs are quite a ways outside those bounds, and hence not supported by the mod.

At the risk of being spammy, none of my fantasy scenarios involve a 300 IC Greece. They do involve a week in Vegas with the Three Jessicas (Biel, Alba and Simpson but Simpson isn't allowed to talk) playing with house money. Any support for that? :p

I can still do 300 IC Greece (and probably the girls) with CORE installed :), so You might allow them to improve techteams or research efficiency by events. And more important changes werent discused: speed of divisions more like in TRP - its strange that motorized div can make only 10 km/day. How's that realistic? Tweak a little bit? Make wars more tactical? I like CORE more than TRP, but thats one thing it's missing. (apart from other ones;P )

Hi,

10 Km a day? Where are you getting that value? They move a lot faster than that. If anything they are too fast rather than too slow. Of course they are slower than Vanilla. But the speeds there are set to keep the game more "interesting" and "fluid" rather than being based on RW unit speeds.
