Hello there, I have got two questions surrounding Planetfall that I could help the mod projects I have in the pipeline.
1) Can we utilise assets from AOW:4?
2) Can a doctrine be utilised to change damage type? Like Entropy to Psionic.
A bit of background of why I ask these questions; 1) Is we want to add a whole new secret tech utilising Frost damage channel; we’re big HW2 fans so got the idea from that for a Cryo sort of faction like Cryo troopers, Frost Siege similar to Davr missile barrage unit.
Mechanics like frozen similar to stun but units with this status effect are more susceptible to shatter (instant death).
Frost debuffs causing more susceptiblity to arc and kinetic damage types.
2) We want to bring the Apostates as an actual race faction and whilst the current units are entropy based; we could see them utilising psionic powers to bend their foes to their will by breaking their minds.
So curious if it’s possible to change the damage channel to another with a doctrine, so the player can pick and choose the type of damage channel the unit has instead of being forced.
