If i am right, this is totally illogical and needs to be changed

Start as Duke of Saxonny and check your relation with the Prince-bishop of Hamburg (-30 Wrong Government type). After one hour or so of searching, the only reason i found was that HRE has "Free Investituree".

Is that why ?

If yes, you, as a Duke, are suffering from this -30 modifier, whereas there is nothing you can do about it.

I think this is illogical and needs to be changed. Why would he be mad at me when i did nothing wrong and can do nothing about it. Those Prince-bishops should be mad at the king above me, not me ! It should give a tremendous malus to the King / emperor in terms of gold and levy.

Also, the tooltip should give more info ! "Wrong government type" when it can be at any level anywhere does not mean anything.

grrrrr if i start with the King of Poland (Papal Investiture) and check the Prince-Bishop of Sacz same thing : wrong government type :sad:

he is an ecclesiastic and you are a feudal lord liege. the only liege the bishop will love is an arch-bishop or a bishop-king.

The have the wrong barony. Prince-Bishops need a church. Republics need a city and monarchs need a castle. If the have not this types of barony the have the wrong government. I think this is the meaning.

Edit: Ah! Thats a good point. What I mean wasa similar thing, with the baronies. I think it should give a better name for both types.

so there are no way of having a Prince-Bishop who is directly your vassal not have this -30 ?
When i transferd vassalage to someone else i indeed lost the -30 ...

i still think there is a flaw here and you should be able to get rid of this malus with other meanings (NOT assassination lol)

to avoid the problem if possible don't give them a county unless you are king and you can put someone as a lucky duke who will retrieve the problem.
or let them at their litte poor church holding if you are a duke.
