IGC 1.08: No victory points?

I am playing the IGC 1.08 and I noticed that the game does not assign ANY victory points at all. I am now already 10 years in the campaign with Austria, have annexed Hungary, but still, NO country has any victory points.
Any ideas about why this is happening? Or is it normal behavior with the IGC?

The reason for this is actually quite simple: for some strange reason EU has victory points turned off by default.

On starting the game, click options and put Base Victory Points on.

The concensus of opinion is that they are only needed in a multiplayer game.

Go to 'search' at the top right and type in 'victory points' to see posts on this.

They're on by default in my game for some reason.

Mine too. But somehow they changed after I installed the IGC. Oh well...

Check it every time before I start a new game anyway. Don't even think I'd care much if they weren't on. It's just a feature after all.
