How about creating a CoT in Bangkok? I don't think it takes any money away from China, but rather from Venice and Delhi. Seems kind of odd that at the start Venice gets revenues from Aztecs/Incas/Iroquois as well as Asia. Note that the introduction of Ayutthayah/Dai Viet increased Venice's early game revenue by quite a bit.
