Time of troubles
I thought I would register my experience with the Time of Troubles - I knew it was coming. I thought I was ready. I was wrong.
Rebellions everywhere. Investment lost. Stability takes a nose dive. Not far from what actually happened historically.
Government fell. Stability shot up. Rebellions vanish. At last!
Then horror of horrors. All those rebel controlled areas declared independece. Sibir, Astrakhan, Kazan and the Golden Horder got their starting territories back, cutting off my Ukranian territories. Pskov (Pskov!) got FOUR of my provinces. *Sigh*
Time to rebuild. But the Troubles are not over. Rebellions continue. Losers take the throne. It was nice to see my opponents take advantage of my weakness. Damn Turks. Damn Poles. Damn Danes.
Now, at the end of Michael Romanov's reign, I have still not recovered from the chaos. The Golden Horde still lives, loans I was forced to take are finally paid off though.
And my haste to regain my losses has made me the Badboy.
