I'm thinking of installing the IGC, but I wonder how the IGC affects the play balance for the 8(9) major nations. I'm not interested in playing as a minor for the moment, so that won't affect me, but I need to know if there are any radical changes to any of the majors before I decide who I will play as.

Differences for majors in IGC 1.5e:

- Russia has one province more and Pskov and Ryazan as vassals. Also Crimea is in an alliance with Russia at the start.
- Sweden has a cot and cheaper artillery than in the GC.
- Austria has CB shields on most of Hungary.
- Turkey has Crimea as vassal.

That´s about it.

In the next version, which will be issued when patch 1.08 is available, there will be some changes insofar as *all* major countries will start with appropriate tech values. At the moment they are all too low. The cots in Kopenhagen and Stockholm will be gone, though...

How will you then represent the HUGE and stable income of the Öresund toll? In the 1600s, all monarchs except perhaps the Spanish ones envied the Danish king for the large, stable and regular flow of real coin that he got from the toll.

I thin the Danish tolls were factored in originally by Paradox by increased revenue or production in one of the Danish provinces at the Sund. This was discussed numerous times before and a COT was given to Denmark in an earlier version of the IGC but then Johan or Patric posted a note saying that the Sund fees were factored in to province features. Correct me if I am wrong.

Correct. Øresundstolden is already in the game - making the income of one of the province inflated...
