I've attached my updated CK2Plus_Titles.txt to this post. To install it, all you have to do is overwrite the file in ...\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod\CK2Plus\common\landed_titles. It took me about 2 hours to finish fixing Empires, Holy Orders, and Mercenaries but there may need to be more work done.
CK2Plus_titles.txt
It was to my dismay as I was playing as a West African to see that the Mali Legion and Warriors were located all the way in Khotan, not only meaning that there are Sogdian West African worshippers but that the West African countries can't hire them. On top of this, I saw "Ganaian Band" and Ghanan Band" in the list of mercenaries. I have no idea how things got butchered this badly but It's annoyed me enough to fix it. I'm currently editing CK2Plus_Titles and any other files I need to fix. In addition, I'm really tempted to fix West Africa by adding a formable Ghana Empire, something that existed during even the vanilla timeline. After I'm done with the hotfixes, which I will probably edit into this post, I would expect these fixes to be incorporated into the mod formal, I would hope the the main modders change the history files as required to implement the Ghana Empire. I'm trying to find a flag for it now as I edit. I hope you all enjoy my fixes.
Turns out the Ghana Empire exists but requires a culture that is not Ghanan or Mande to do so (It's Sosso), which is foolish. The Songhai Empire also has this problem with the Songhai people woefully unrepresented as only Mande can form it. I'll make a note if I fix this but right now I'm focused on locations.
I need to note that I'm not going to touch the India module, although it has issues as well, including several Holy Orders not actually in Delhi as intended but instead in Ranthambore. I'll edit from the main module, not from the India module.
The Songhai Company and Songhai Band are both Muslim in the pre-edit file, even though Islam didn't reach down to the area they're based in at the earlier dates. I'm removing the religious restriction so they reflect their home province(s) like how the other West African mercenary companies behave. I'm pointing this out as there may be other inconsistent mercenaries out there that I've missed or if I've created any unintentional bugs due there being problems with the transition from West African paganism to Islam or any other religion.
