You probably haven't heard of me but i would like to play my first multiplayer game. anyone who would like me to join theirs? I've downloaded v1.9 about a day ago or so, is there a lot of differencies? I'm the king against Ai 'cause when I played Bohemia I conquered all of France, Austria(with netherlands), Italy and germany but didn't care so much for poland I just conquered my way to Danzig from Mecklenburg :cool:

Welcome, Bunka!

One of the best ways to get acquainted with the multiplayer game and make connections in the community is to sub in for someone in one of the weekly scheduled games. There's a stickied thread for people searching for subs or subs searching for games.

I also recommend you look at the Newbie Help Center thread for guidance on configuring your router + firewall for EU2, and read the MP strategy guides linked from there if you haven't already.

ICQ is a necessity for participating in multiplayer games, it's a good idea to sign up for an account (I use Trillian for my IM client) and put your number in your sig so people can contact you easily. My number is in my sig, ICQ me if you have any more questions :)
 
Oh and Bunka, if you're gonna play MP against anyone of these fora forget everything you ever learned from SP (Well, not all... :p). It all depends on diplomacy now...

don't listen to noobs like labalag, diplomacy is needed but your gonna have to learn warfare and eco just asmuch

I can't install ICQ :confused: it says its not a win32 program...

I was just saying it jokingly... I meant that diplomacy will have a big role in his mp-campaigns...

Oh and Bunka, use Trillian, that way you can use ICS and MSN with one program

Ok now I have another question... my Internet connection is at 256Kbit/s is that too low and will I make the others go mad or Is it good enough?

Hooa! New players are always welcome :).

And yeah, get ICQ asap. There is no chance at all of playing otherwise.
