I'm after a similar kind of set up. I'd propose Sunday evenings (I live in UK too btw) with the 1939 or 1941 scenario (that way the USA isn't a behemoth, and we don't have to crawl through the buildup.) I'd prefer USA tbh, not very experienced with MP :)

BTW, what kind of house rules and restrictions would you put into play? I know some people like to play free form (i.e USA can ally with Germany) and others prefer the lineup to be strictly historical. I myself would prefer feasable, but not just a plain re-run of the real war :)
 
sunday sounds good. have u ever tryed the starfire mod. u can download and install it in a seperate directory for MP use. you'l find the link to it on this site. as far as house rules are concerned id be open to suggestion. i prefer a semi historical war, nothing to far out like a dday before 42 for eg.

hopefully we can get another couple pf players before sunday

Along the same lines as me fo realism then :)

I'd be able to do 7pm onwards on Sunday evenines (maybe 6.30) Is Starfire better than Historical Stony Road? It's no hassle to reinstal for me as I have no current games in progress anyway. I'll look Starfire over (I've looked before but not hard.)

PS I might know someone else interested in joining :)

PPS 1938 or later for start would be best imho.

i was hoping to play as russia desert storm. would u be ok to go italy?
yeah starfire mod is 38 scenario anyway so thats fine evans. if u get your mate in then we have 4 players which is ideal. yeah starfire is a small download but makes a big difference to the game but we must all have it to play

it creates its own folder in hoi directory then u just click to load so its very straightforward and doesnt involve multiple installations.

ill be online then from 6pm onwards (gmt). get me on icq or msn

How's about *this* sunday at 7? :) I was under the impression we were waiting for more people... But i'm ok with 3.
 
my experience with MP is the more players that play the higher the odds that the game wont be finished. 3 is ok but its a bit unbalanced. 4 would be ideal. r u or anyone else reading this thread available to play sooner in the week as im available most nights

do u have icq or msn?
 
I'll be the fourth, if you don't mind. Just keep in mind that I can't play anytime during the day... probably between 0500 and 1300 GMT, if you want me to play the whole 9 hours. Axis I'm pretty good at, though Japan isn't one of my strong points, other than that, I think I'd make for a decent UK.

Hmm I was thinking of *starting* around GMT 18.30-19:00
