I'm playing as Switzerland, trying to create a socialist utopia.
I've set all the social reforms to the highest levels, and I'm a democracy, yet I've not had a single immigrant in 40 years of the game.
Unfortunately, all my political parties only have 'Residence' for their views on minorities, but I don't think that can explain a complete lack of immigration.
Is the fact that I am a landlocked country the problem? Because Sweden seems to be getting tons of immigrats with fewer social reforms.
If I have one coastal province, will immigrants be able to move into the Swiss heartland from there, or will I have to link all the Swiss provinces to the coastal province? Also, is there any way to do this without going to war (Sardinia-Piedmont looks like the best prospect)?
