Not likely as I've understood that the one between CK2 and EU4 forced lots of extra work on them. So you will probably look at a fan made on instead.

Isn't the end date of Imperator long before the start date of CKIII? Would probably be better to have an entire Late Antiquity game instead...

Depends on how long the gap between games is. Otherwise, the only thing you'd get out of it is a different history of who ruled what when.
