Hi !

I cannot to connect on valkyrie, the paradox's on line center game.

My game is patched 1.05c. All is correct in solo game.

I can play on line with an ip connection, but not with Valkyrie.

A pop up screen is displayed "You were disconnected" when i try to go to the HOI room.

I have Directx 8.1.

I havent got a firewall and no router.

Anybody can help me ?

Thanks !

You should upgrade to DX9.0b
I will move you to the MP forum and let the experts there help.
YOu may also want to look through the sticky threads there for addtion help.

DX9 isn't required for Valkyrienet, is it? Or if it is, he wouldn't be able to run 1.05c, would he?

How many times did you try to connect? If it was just one evening, come back again another day. VNet is notorious for its 'blops'. It often makes my computer hang and quite a few games have to be restored from saves several times because players get kicked out.

I tryed several times since wednesday.

Everyday, i tryed during the morning, the afternoon, and late in the evening.

The installation of my game is very clean.

Clean uninstalled from windows (uninstall programm),
Delete all directory about paradox,
Install from my cd,
Install patch 1.05-FRE, patch downloaded from Paradox website,
Install 1.05c, patch downloaded from Paradox website too.

1.05c is a zip programm. i just unzip all files and directory in the Hearts of iron directory.

Yesterday, i played correctly in a multi IP connection with a friend, an 1.05c saved game. No problem.

But Vnet just told me, every times :" You were disconnected", when i try to enter in the HOI room.

I am very angry... because I don't understand why...

Maybe DX9 must be installed ?

But in this forum, In the Thread about Requirement, it is wrote "Directx 8.1"

I'm not choked by the answers...

I've got an idea :

Is it possible to be an problem of register keys ?

Anybody can give me the HOIS's defaults keys register, what must I have?

How is your network set up? Using a router?

I think I experienced the same thing; could play direct IP but not connect to Vnet.

If you use a router, try placing your computer in DMZ (forget to turn it off afterwards, though!).
