full disclosure I love this game , so this isn’t meant to be I want this I want that, these would just be things that I won’t mind seeing in the game,

1. More cosmetics for leaders, - it’s ok but compared to Aow3 it is severely lacking.

2. Have builder units being able to build on the strategic map - like in aow3 where you can build fortresses in key location for defense.

3. Just for fun- MORE WILD LIfE TO BURN

A few more options when it comes to choosing your faction/leader. A thing I was hoping for was maybe choosing 2 of 3/4 weapon tech trees. Maybe something that your secret tech choice adds an option for.

Maybe one more unit per secret tech group and a few more early game mods for non-infantry units. It's hard to find stuff to mod your animals, mechanical, and non-humanoid units with in the secret tech trees.

More variety of secret tech units based on race, like the Amazons get. Most of the other races just get the default infantry, Amazons get huntress purifiers, harrier light bringers, and lancer echo walkers.

I'd like for it to stop crashing when I play.

I'd like more feminine outfit choices, especially that dress from the purple female Syndicate from the Wallpaper.

I'd like the hair style from the purple female Syndicate from the Wallpaper.

I'd like novels to go with the game.

I'd like a Zoo building that grants + happiness and alien monster pet from the factions homeworld.

But honestly I'd settle for less crashes.

In AoW3 I see units on the central map when I zoom out. I see the units on the minimap. I miss them dearly! Give us unit icons on both map back, PLEASE!

1. This. Also I would love to be able to create custom heroes to recruit, not just the commander.

2. Haven't played much besides the first campaign, but you have for example the sensor array thingy in operations. More small buildings like bunkers, shield generators, artillery placements (just throwing ideas without giving them thought) would be nice.

3. Not only that, but landmarks. Places to visit. Reasons to go back to explored sectors far away. Just like in HOMM, where you had the experience stones, recruit dwellings, luck and morale bonuses, skill trainers, and other stuff. I don't know, maybe tech merchants to sell unwanted mods or buy mods from other secret techs, merc sites to recruit rare (and experienced units), experience and skill sites (mabe they give you a random skill - just shamelessly copying HOMM ideas :p) and so on. Mainly make the map alive, not just an excuse for factions to interact between them.

Some of the random chances are too obscured to my liking.

Apart from the resistance of enemy units i'm playing Xenophage currently and i would like to know what the chances for the evolution are. Even with reasearch to increase the chance by 30% per hero in the army i still do not know what the base value is. It defintely strikes me as a bit low though, I'm doing this half the game now and still haven't seen one of the Tier 3 units. Which is a shame as i have already progressed to Tier 4 on the base units.

From what I tried it seems to be unexpectedly well balanced considering "version 1.0", you just need to find decent amount of neutral creeps in small area to multiplicate quickly. However, I agree that knowing chances would be nice (ok, but I play on Slow game pace which I found optimal anyway). Hm, but wat if it's a comlex mechanics and not just number?

It is probably too much but I would love more visual racial distinction for the secret tech units.
The Dvar and Kir'ko units tend to take advantage of their racial features (though from the imperial archives image the Dvar celestial star guide seems bulkier though my impression was that they are also supposed to be a bit shorter) but the other more human factions seem to literally use the same model.

To give some examples:
Amazons: A more slender body shape, hair poking out from their helmets, bare feet (not on something like a purifier I'd guess)
Syndicate: indentured purifiers could take a que from indentured and have a helmet more similar to theirs or chest piece. They also seem to prefer (teamcolored?) tabards.
Assembly: bare unarmored limbs seems to be a good distinguisher here.
Vanguard: Baseline

Pssst... have a look at what Tibbles is working on.

This is a minor issue that was in AoW3 as well, but I would LOVE to see it change:

When I rename a town, I would like all of the pop-up news related to that town to use the new name, and not the original name!
If I name a town Ludocity, I want the sector pop-up to read "Ludocity can add a sector!"

Ludomancer

I want to be able to open the colony screen by clicking on the colony's name banner or the hexes surrounding the colony center.
I want to be able to click anything's banner, shield, or marker to select it, for that matter, rather than having to click the unit, army, or structure itself.
I want to be able to see little translucent resource icons on the map below a sector's name without zooming out to the abstract map.
I want there to be icons next to a sector's name that say if it's been prospected, and who has claims on it, and how many claims they have. I want this to be visible even if I have something else selected, or nothing at all.
