I started playing few hours ago and although i like this game, it is annoying that in my first 2 hours of game the game dropped like 20 times, for example every 5 years the game was dropping... why? i have a fast computer.. is there a way to fix this? How can someone have fun playing this game if it keeps dropping or crashing.

Do you have installed the latest patch ?

What we can say is that crashes are becoming quite rare for most people.

With version 1.0 what you describe was encountered often. By now with 1.04 I think that most people only crash after about 200 years of gameplay... and it's usually due to specific events happening in the game.

Overall you should enjoy a stable gaming experience with EU II if you have the correct setup.

Funny, in my experience it's the other way around. Version 1.00 was far more stable than version 1.04. I could play for 12 hours (of real time) non stop without a single CtD. With version 1.04 the game crashes continously, with one exception: A fantasy type game is just as stable in 1.04 than it is in version 1.00. This is definately NOT the case with a GC.
