As king of Castille I owned 2 provinces directly and had 3 counts with one province each under my control. I thought 2 provinces was a bit to little so I attacked a nearby muslim province and captured it. Hovering over my income now I can see I got a 10% penalty becouse of my large demesne.
I know I get a penalty if I got to many provinces, but I'm king and I can't even have 3 provinces without a penalty? I could understand it if I was a count or even a duke, but I'm king. Is it supposed to be like this? I thought I would be able to have atleast 4-6 provinces without a penalty as a king.
How do I know how many provinces I can have without a penalty or how much that penalty will increase if I take another province?
My newly aquired province is muslim and have arab culture. Do this have some negatice effect like reduced income/higher revoltsrisk as it does in EU3? And if yes,how much and is there a way to convert them or change their culture?
Also I see the picture of the soldiers in that province differs fromt he one in the other two? Is this just graphical or does it have an impact on fighting ability and if yes, where do I see that?
