Incorrect Dynasty Given to Son

Playing as King of Ireland 1155

Married the duchess of Normandie and started having kids. All of them have been given their mothers family name and dynasty! My game will end when the King dies.

This is surely a bug for a child always takes their fathers name and titles so this makes no sense.

or have I got the wrong laws enacted?

Indeed, which means that all children will belong to the mothers dynasty rather than the fathers. I've noticed that if you have your sons in betrothal and they turn of age, the fathers of the wives-to-be occasionally propose a matrilineal marriage rather than a 'regular' one. Click on accept too fast without reading the message and it's too late.

Ive had this happen to me today as rostaliv? they begin right to the east of lithuiania with like 6 kids. I started up and it said that my i would lose upon my death even tho i had multiple sons

What's their succession-law? No matrilinear marriages? Are those sons bastards? Is your character "lowborn" (shouldn't be played)?
If you checked this and you're still not sure post a savegame and I'll tell you if it's a bug or wad ^^

I imagine you mis-read the tooltip, which says something like "You will lose the following titles on succession" due to Gavelkind laws, which split up your realm among your sons on your death.

No because a few years later i died and lost and raged... Is it possible that it was because they were all plotting against me? Also if i accidentaly marry my female heir does that make the husband my heir or one of my chars sister because ive had both in my heir selective as an elctive faction
