I am wondering if inflation takes place in percentages. I mean does it take into consideration you are at 4.8 or only 4 and then 5? If so it would be useful to get close to the next number then shut down your inflation before it passes it.

Dunno , But My Russian Game has 17%. Its causing lots of Unrest. I think Loans Lead to Inflation , but im not sure. (ive taken 6 loans out to fight a war)Anyway i just extend my loans so i dont have to pay them back right away.Quick Fix, Im not sure of the Consequences? Ive yet to get to 1700 in a game , So everything Seems new.

I try to play economically first. I took out one loan to defeat Scotland but I paid it right back. It didn't cause any inflation but not sure about not paying back right away. I only set myself for .20 inflation then I once I get up to around 5 percent my economy is finally running good enough I shut it down completely. This seems to be working pretty well.
