Installation of mod failed due to not being able to download metadata

Paradox launcher will not download/install this mod.
Error message:
"Installation of this mod failed. The action failed because we could not fetch metadata about this resource. This means our servers are having hiccups or your internet connection is not stable enough."

I tried to find solutions online, but haven't been able to fix it yet. I have tried:
- re-installing Stellaris
- disabled my VPN
- disabled my firewall and antivirus

I have included the log files.

Please help me fix this.

Are you getting the mod from the Steam workshop or the Paradox mod site?

Is it just that mod it occurs to? Or others too?

Has it ever worked on this computer, or always been like this?

I take it the mod files do not appear in /Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/mods/?

But why that would affect you but not everyone I do not know!

Can you test this on any other computer you might have access to? Without a VPN I'd suggest.
