Just bought Ck today and the installation work great but the game crashes when loading, more precise at loading phase, "Initializing sound". I had the same problem with Victoria, and solved it by changing settings (disabled the sound in the configuration.exe). But now there´s no configuration.exe, what am I supposed to do???

Heres some info:

Pan Vision copy, no patch installed.

Windows XP Prof.

AMD Athlon Processor 902 MHz
256 MB of RAM
HDD Free space: 1,76 GB
Video: NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 Model 64 Pro
Sound: VIA AC'97 Audio Controller (WDM)
DirectX Version: 9

I will look into it for you, I will see if I can give you instructions to alter the config file.

YOu have tried renameing the AVI folder to AVI_back right?
That can sometimes solve the issue as well.

Can you alter the play list files so there is no songs on the list to play?

Thanks for answering so quickly. But this advise didn´t make any difference.

Yes I can if you give me the instructions, or is it just to delete the music files?

Great!
You could try playing the music through winamp or another player program, if you want music during the game.

The music is very good, but having winamp running as well as CK would probably cause bad slowdowns so I wouldn't advise it :)

Lots of people do run both, It depends on your system and config.

As far as being worthwhile you could play them and decide on your own.

Tastes vary. What one person likes another hates. ;)
