Installing and using new scenarios

Ah, my very first post... Hello world!

Err, anyway... I've been playing EU for a little while now, just starting to get towards the end of my first grand campaign. I've been checking this site out, and all the scenarios and user mods sound really interesting! Playing as minor powers, entirely different countries, it all looks so good!

There are so many things to choose from though. I was hoping someone might be able to give newbies like me a simple overview of what all this stuff is, what it is supposed to do, and how we get it to work. For example, what exactly does one get from the improved grand campaigns? And is the version available on this site really in German? I'm also not entirely clear on what you do with the various files to get them to work, and what they might do to the existing files. And, well, the list goes on. I guess what I'd like to know is: How does it all work?

The IGC extends the GC, adding or correcting lots of monarchs, leaders, historical events, and countries (in some cases). It has a nifty tool to make it easy to play any country and to select options. Language for it and any scenario is not important - all scenarios work in all language versions of the game. The Scenario Depot should be changed.
