Installing patch 1.05 problem, NA version?

When I try to install the 1.05 patch (NA version from the Paradox site), it says after several pre-installment comments (it sort of unzips the file):

"cannot find game, HoI not installed"

I just did a fresh install of the v 1.0 version (no other patches installed), but cannot see on the CD or jewelbox wether it is a NA version or any other.

Any suggestions for overcoming this problem?

Since you are in Holland why would you think it was the NA version. BTW patches do not go by region but by publisher. I know they say the NA or whatever version but they are not. Just tell me what the name of the publisher is (it's on the CD) and I can tell you which patch you need.

NA version?

On the CD (from left to right):

- Paradox;
- Strategy First;
- Infogrames.

I have traded the game with a guy for Germany, so I don't know where he got his game from (it is in English, not in German BTW).

On the Paradox site I could only find the V1.05NA patch, no other flavours available...

Well you do have the NA version which is made by SF.

The answer then must be that your registry did not properly save the install path.

Try installing to the default directory.
