Why can't there be a button that filters out incompatible mods from older versions automatically? I search and search for mods, download a dozen, get in the game, they are ALL incompatible with the current build! This is BS. I get they might not work, but if the game ALREADY KNOWS they won't, then so should the mod menu! Just a waste of time if it can't do something so simple.

Just because a Mod is outdated doesn't mean it won't work, and the game has no way of knowing which mods work and which won't.
Hence, the Launcher warns you of the potential problem, and you can choose to ignore it at your own discretion, but might run into issues.
The comment sections of most somewhat popular mods can usually give you an idea of whether they still work or not.

If you just want current-patch mods, most mod authors will mention the version the mod is for in the title or in the description, and if that is not the case, you can always look for when the mod was last updated and compare it to when the last patch was released.
