It sometimes does better than I... what probably only means that I`m a really bad player :p

It's very handy to cut short one-sided battle (e.g. lonely enemy hero with a single unit), or against ghost armies. :)

It also goo for when your enemy as a very powerful counter to some of your units. Like you have slow moving units and they have extremely powerful archers, if u actually played it ou u'd be tourn apart, however the autocalculate just uses how powerful the combinations of all ur units are, not wether u have a good counter to their units and vice versa. I think. Anyways its a good tool, but still most of the time ur gonna want to play it urself.

Autocalculate can be useful at times. mainly for when you have the enemy hopelessly outnumbered, or when the enemy has some nasty skills and spells that you don't want to deal with in a real time battle (i'm looking at you, ghosts). Autocalculate does not seem to take into account spells, skills and heroes. in This can feel a bit meta-gamey, as you can get positively slaughtered by ghosts in a real battle, but autocalculate lets you win with just some losses. On the other hand, i have had autobattles where i lost half my army while fighting the same battle for real lets me win with only very minor losses due to proper use of tactics and skills/spells.
