Hey. Long time lurker here just gauging interest for a possible casual forum game where you guys play the role of game developers and write up your own game creations. Game would start in 1987 after the Nintendo Entertainment System exploded on the scene and caused a home gaming revival. Players would then all vote on their favourite game to decide the Game of the Year.

This sounds interesting. I like being able to write up video games, although I will go on a nitpicky tangent.

I'm assuming that we're just going to be writing out descriptions of our video games, so we aren't really voting on which video game is the best, but rather video game descriptions or concepts. I do like theorizing about video games. I just want to be clear I don't think we're actually making video games, unless if there's some sort of stat system planned.

There will no mechanics involved, other then a round of voting by the players to decide the GOTY - We'll all just be writing up imagined video games, giving the title, genre, themes and a description of the game.
