In this game, you start out as an adventurer. The main goal of the game is have the entire world under your control by the year 2000.

Wait, what? My character will be long dead by 2000!

You will start as a mere one man army, and you will attempt grow ever more powerful, when you die, you will play as your heir.

Recently, business has slowed and Richard soon felt an emptiness from lack of action, maybe he should take up the sword as a mercenary...

Background: A mercenary originally from Brittany that was hired to serve in the conquest of England by William the Conqueror. He found himself a wonderful woman by the name of Wylla after the battle of Stamford bridge, and after the end of the war returned to Stamford to marry her with his new found relative fortune. He has built himself a sizable home and once again seeks employment.

Background: Brunheard grew up in Stamford Bridge and like his father and his father and his father before him became a fisherman. Brunheard however was lazy and hated fishing his father almost sent him to the monastery except for him being his only son. Brunheard actually wanted to go as it would give him an opportunity to learn how to read and write or read of classics from the age of Rome and Alexander the Great

Background: Though none of the older friars have ever confirmed or denied it, Offa suspects himself to be the bastard son of the local Aelderman's daughter who had made a hasty and thoroughly disadvantageous marriage 25 years ago. Seemingly immune to discipline, the young Offa thoroughly exasperated the elder brothers assigned to his tutelage and caused mischief left and right, setting vellum alight and knocking over milk pails, though he stopped short of true cruelty. A curious lad, he was sufficiently engaged by his curriculum to prove nevertheless a good if slightly inconsistent student. Upon adolescence, he discovered the joys of wenches, ale, and bards at the local tavern and spent entirely too much time there, excitedly conversing with travelers and drunkenly debating theology and politics on the occasions that a worthy interlocutor presented himself. On the balance, however, he was enough of an asset to the monastery, given that he was willing enough to assist with the upkeep of the monastery and even something of a handyman, that the leadership was narrowly inclined to keep him around despite his frequently impious behavior. Should he ever be dismissed from his order, Offa imagines his knowledge of brewing, herbal medicine, and respectable singing voice could sustain him. Offa believes himself to have sired a bastard or two of his own in the course of his dalliances. More religiously inclined than he appears, such awareness fills Offa with guilt, and he longs to find a way to provide for his suspected offspring...
