Good day, my name is Tristanxh and this hopefully will be my second Forum Game, the first of this series is still active, keep in mind that these are drastically different games with drastically different settings. This will be a turn based tactical (To explain 'turn based tactical,' think of strategy somewhat similar to X-Com) game set in an alternate timeline on our world. This timeline is not intended to be an accurate representation of how events would play out, but rather an explanation for the unique setting of the game.
The year, is 1945, two years after the fall of England, a year after the United States ran a public demonstration of the power of nuclear weapons, and a year after the cold war broke out. Can the U.S. keep both the fascists and the communists from getting their hands on the atomic bomb? Only time will tell.
The game would be fought by player 'Agencies' each Agency requires at least three players, one Commander and two Captains. The Commander would send Captains on missions, choose research, manage the budget, and deal with bureaucracy, while the Captains would carry out combat missions using their squads which would be supplied based on the Commander's choices.
Most missions will be fought on the home front and many will be wild goose hunts while some will be preventing German or Soviet espionage groups from gathering intelligence, stealing materials, kidnapping scientist, and etc... While based on the amount of squads, some missions will be fought in the foreign field, gathering intelligence, stealing materials, and kidnapping scientists, and etc...

Lore (Updated) said:(Assume all events left out are same as OTL unless I say otherwise,)
--In this timeline, Germany didn't launch research into nuclear physics and favored researching new forms of conventional weaponry, thus conquering Europe rapidly. On the other hand, the United States feared an all out war with Europe front and thus they launched the Manhattan project early--

In 1775, the Continental army captures the city of Quebec. The successful expedition led to the fall of Canada to the United Colonies and after peace was signed between the United Colonies and the British Empire in 1781, Britain was forced to cede all of it's North American colonial possessions to the new American Confederation which would be known as the United States of America. The U.S. then purchased Florida from Spain and Louisiana from France during a time of turmoil and upheaval in Europe during which, France and Spain sold off colonial possessions to fund their wars in Europe.
The expansion of the United States started a chain of events that resulted in the War of 1812 between the United States of America and the British Empire. All British expeditionary forces were met on the shores with heavy resistance and the main force was forced to surrender at the Battle of Savannah after a failed attempt to gain the support of loyalists still living in what used to be the southern colonies. The resulting defeat led to tensions over the next hundred years between America and Britain as Britain sought revenge while America sought to build it's strength.
In 1846, the United States declared war on Mexico after American soldiers were killed on the American side of the Rio Grande as the Mexicans claimed that the Nueces was the border of Texas and Mexico. Anglo-Texas settlers had seceded from Mexico earlier after Santa Anna revoked their rights, the Republic of Texas agreed to being annexed into the United States to consolidate defenses, causing the United States to press the Texas land claim. This war led to the American occupation of Mexico City and forced the surrender of the Mexican nation which became a territory of the United States. During this, the California Republic also agreed to being annexed into the United States and the Texas border was proclaimed to be at the Rio Grande and given parts of New Mexico. The land between California and Texas was granted to a separate territory from Mexico which would later be divided into multiple states. Many nations across Europe were furious that the United States had annexed a sovereign nation. However, a war raging between a French, Spanish, and Austrian alliance against Britain, the Netherlands, and Prussia was a far more pressing matter.
The French were defeated by British ships landing 'redcoats' in Normandy while Prussian and Dutch charges broke through their borders. This left Austria and Spain separated, both nations signed peace and France was released after major monetary compensation for the war.
The French economy collapsed and a new revolution took hold, starving masses stormed the French government and the second French empire was born on the grave of King Louis. Napoleon III was elected on a landslide vote and declared the new empire of France to the cheers of the French people.
War broke out quickly between the newly declared French Empire and the simultaneously declared German Empire, the two nations clashed brutally and peace was signed with no gains for either side despite the heavy losses, leaving both sides bitter and hateful.
In 1890, the Spanish-American war ends in victory by the United States, leaving the U.S. in possession of Cuba and the dominant power in the Caribbean and central America. Following a coup, the U.S. government gains control of most of Panama. This leads to the reformation of a 'Gran Columbia' to protect against the expansionist power of the north.
In 1914 the Austrian Empire and the Central powers including the German Empire declare war on the Entente powers, including the French Empire, the British Empire, and the Russian Empire after the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand of Austria. Although the Russian Empire collapses and the Soviet Union is formed, Italy's joining of the Entente cordial had given the Entente enough strength to push back the Central powers, the Central powers are forced to surrender in the treaty of Versailles. This leads to Kaiser Wilhelm I being overthrown, and replaced by President Ebert. Meanwhile in Austria, the Austrian Republic is declared after the country is left leaderless by the death of Emperor Charles I.
During this, "First Great War" as it was later called, the U.S. remains neutral, but gains control of Alaska during the Soviet uprising of 1917 and annexes it, citing Monroe doctrine.
In 1922 Italy, Mussolini comes to power and starts the fascist movement. Fascism spreads northwards, and in 1934 Germany, the German National Socialist (Fascist) party leader becomes Fuhrer of Germany and begins a series of events that include the German-Russian occupation of Poland and annexation of the Austrian Republic. These events lead to a new war breaking out between the allies, consisting of France, China, and Britain against Germany, Japan, Russia, and Italy. France falls to the blitzkrieg tactics deployed by the German military, in Spain the Civil War ends after a German intervention that annexes the country under a fascist puppet state. Italy takes control over most of Africa and Japan invades most of Asia. While the Soviet Union does manage to large chunks of land, it still leaves communism in the back end of the world powers. The English coast falls to bombing and beach landings, however the British government falls back and holds out in Scotland and Wales while the Irish Reserve Army holds out against the German onslaught before heavily fortifying the Irish shorelines.

The United States remains neutral through out the war, however the United States Navy is built up considerably by congress, out of fear of total war, and the United States Navy is now able to combat both Germany and Japan at once should they declare war. Ultimately, it is the development of the nuclear bomb by the United States that insures peace. Germany, the Soviet Union, and Japan all attempt to recreate the bomb yet all of their ventures fail. However, the fascists do field an impressive arsenal of conventional weapons that are superior to the conventional weapons of the United States. Thus a war of espionage begins, as none of the parties are willing to risk all out war under these dire circumstances.

Gameplay
The game will use Don Jon generated dungeons as the tactical maps,
(Notice: Props and Cover will be added to actual maps)

and player pieces will be arranged and updated by me each turn. Each player piece will be a single soldier under the command of a captain, the captains will manage the soldiers on the field while agency commanders will manage where the captains are and on which field they fight. Captains will have to make use of cover if they want their soldiers to survive, hit chances and damage will all be heavily based around cover, with every soldier of a squad having a crucial roll in an operation. The more squads an agency has to deploy, the more ground they can cover, thus agencies with more squads will out perform undermanned agencies. However, agencies with less men will have less tasks to carry out than agencies well manned.
