Ahmed reports that in recent betas the game seems to be getting slower and slower.

I have not noticed this.

Have others?

I seem to have noticed this as well. In my particular game, Genoa and the Hansa keep getting into these long-drawn out wars with Zimbabwe. That seems to be what's slowing down my particular game. Too many wars in these latest betas?

I can't see why there would be more wars. I have not altered the war scores in their ai s, and in Interregnum these are set very low.

The ai is NOT very good at colonial warfare, because it doesn't know how to send enough troops to properly deal with the situation. I have their distance stat set fairly hight (10 - 15 for all colonizers). These problems exist in most mods, and the usual solution is to load as Zimbabwe/Hansa and end the war.

Ahmed thinks it might be all the new Inca region countries, or changes to the offsets for some events.

If it is the little countries, then make them aggressive and warloving until I turn in my work for them.

I think it is impossible that ten new small countries with no events could possibly slow down this game.

Anyways, slowing down is a problem I usually had back when my computer's power source was dying. He should get that checked out, because since my power source died (fucker) and I spent 80 dollars on a new one, the game (the one time I have played it in the past two months--don't get jealous, it was the newest interregnum beta) I played ran smoothly, even after I got up from my computer for a couple hours to deal with the homosexual melodrama between two of my roommate's friends (not kidding, at all about that...though I didn't deal with it personally, as it all happened in my roommate's bedroom...yeah).
