You know whot could make a cute ending video? The camera skips to your capital and then slowly zooms out showing the extent of yours and everyone else's nations.
That being said I wouldn't want them to make it. It wouldn't be worth the time and effort.

Are 2 minutes of avideo everyone will be sick off after seeing it for an n-th time worth not having some game element that would took equal tiime and effort (e.g. more events)? No.
I actually agree with that to a certain extent. But the trailers increase the odds of people buying the game and the game being profitable and in turn increase the odds of the series being continued in the future. So they are a sort of necessary evil.
And no, they wouldn't. That's why games that have intros either give an option to skip it or get bashed by the community and then people find a way of removing the intro. Especially true for a text-based intro.
