Introducing Our New Partners

We’re pleased to announce that we’re partnering with Dragons Lake by Room 8 Group to develop and improve the Console Edition of Crusader Kings III. Dragons Lake is an industry-renowned studio with an extensive history of providing high-quality support to other companies in the development and adaptation of their games.

Grand Strategy games on console present unique engineering challenges for a game studio, but we believe the team at Dragons Lake has consistently demonstrated the experience and technical skill needed to tackle these challenges through their work.

We’re committed to bringing the best possible Crusader Kings III experience to all of our players regardless of which platform they play on, and we believe this partnership is an important first step in honoring that commitment as we move into the next phase of development for Crusader Kings III: Console Edition.

We’ll have more information about the release of our next Console Edition update in the coming weeks, so please keep an eye on our social media and the Paradox Plaza forums.

Playing strategy games on console is ridiculous.

There was a time when playing an FPS on console was considered ridiculous. In that same vein, we're hoping to set a new standard for strategy games on consoles.

We're not there yet, but we're pretty damn determined to see it through.

We're looking at August as a potential release window for the next update right now. It looks fairly promising, but we'll be able to share more specific details as we get closer to the release date.
