When I launch the game on full screen the loading screen is invisible, I just see my wallpaper but can't click anything and the loading screen music keeps playing. I can only close it through task manager which says it's not responding.

I've tried reinstalling the game and updating my drivers but that didn't work. I also downloaded a few versions of Microsoft Visual C++, after installing those and restarting my pc the game worked as it used to do (without complications). However, when I then quit the game and try to launch it again, the issue returns. I have to then use Microsoft Visual C++ repair option and restart my pc for the game to work, but still only for one time.

I've been trying to fix it the last few days but nothing works and I'm really confused since the game used to work properly before.

It works OK in Windowed mode, is that right?

If so this is the problem introduced in the recent large Windows 10 update which has affected many of our games. AFAIK nVidia only. There is no current fix other than to run in Windows mode, sorry.

Windowed mode works fine except for the fact that it keeps changing my refresh rate back to 25 Hz, which is why I played on fullscreen.
Anyway, that's a shame there's no fix, but I'll manage, at least I can still play the game.

Thanks for your reply.
