ip-connection fails while vnet connection works?

As vnet is down i tried to play some games on ip with ppl i have on my contact list and i played with before on vnet... But strange enough - it doesn`t work on ip. Everytime we tried to join eachothers game it said "version not corresponding". Of course, we had 1.05 - we played in the same setup through vnet - once even the same day (tried to play on ip for more stability that day)
Till now I wasn`t able to join 2 players on ip which I was able to join on vnet; Can someone perhaps explain it to me?

eh, I didn`t, I have the original version (or in fact 2.... and ubi-version doesn`t even need a cd... ) as I said my version was original 1.05 without modifications....

Me and my friend have tried to play on ip and every time got the same message "Your version doesn't correspond to the host". But when we play with other people it works fine. We both have scandinavian 1.05 no EEPs. To us it doesn't work even when Valkyrie is down.

Any comments?

it works now well. it seems that playing through ip requires having even more files exactly the same... i reinstalled, without ANY modifications now (i had some shields and text-changes which worked still on vnet) and it just work for me correctly...
